Chris is the Founder and CEO of OpenGenius. 28 years of entrepreneur experience has seen Chris set up companies ranked in the Deloitte European Fast 50 and The Sunday Times Fast Track 100. He founded his first business at the age of 16, and by 25 had sold his first company.
By merging lifelong passions of technology and innovation, Chris has created digital tools that improve global productivity. OpenGenius’ highly praised software, iMindMap and DropTask, have a following of over 1.3 million people. All are benefiting from the application of Chris’ creative thinking methods into digital planning.
Chris’ expertise in creative and innovative thinking saw him author best-selling book ‘GRASP The Solution’ in 2011. It compiles original ways to overcome daily challenges. It encourages out-of-the-box thinking techniques and unique approaches to successful decision making.
Chris’ passion for creative thinking is infectious. It has led to his creation of a worldwide network of trainers working to further his messages and methods. The OpenGenius training team, made up of over 1,000 instructors, teach ground-breaking techniques in Applied Innovation, Mind Mapping, Speed Reading and Memory Skills courses. Chris has coached senior leadership teams in the European Commission, Parliaments and Courts. He was invited by his majesty King Abdullah II of Jordon to facilitate a brainstorming session of Nobel Laureates, including the Dalai Lama, at The Petra Nobel Conference.
Chris’ vision is for everyone to understand their true thinking potential. He wants to disperse perceived limitations by encouraging the masses to challenge their assumptions. His unconventional belief to not just think outside the box, but to eradicate it, encourages the creation of innovative ideas through free-flowing creative thinking.
He believes that creativity is not something we learn, but something we unlearn as we get older. We must release the inner child-like imaginations within us, which has been hindered by everyday bad thinking habits.
As well as focusing on the wonders of the mind, Chris has also practiced martial arts for 29 years, maintaining a healthy body and healthy mind.
